In line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), effective from 25th May 2018, LSCS (the Society) wishes to inform you how we manage and protect any personal data that we hold.
What information does the Society hold?
The Society has an electronic contact database ontaining names, email and postal addresses, and information about memberships, tickets, gift aid, donations, the Friends Scheme and GDPR preferences.
This list comprises people who have subscribed in the past to the concert series, those who have purchased tickets online via TicketSource, and those who have asked to be added to the list.
The contact database is only used in connection with distrbuting information about the work of the Society and our concerts. We distribute a copy of the brochure to everyone listed in the contact database in May/June/July. We also send email to everyone who has given us authority to, in connection with upcoming concerts, memberships and events and information related to the concerts and operation of the Society.
The Society keeps a copy of completed membership/subscription forms, in paper and electronic form as received. Such records are retained for 7 years and then shredded.
How is the information held?
All the electronic contact information is password-protected and held securely by the Society’s Secretary. The Secretary also holds securely the paper files. The Friends’ and Patrons’ details are kept securely by both the Secretary and relevant Trustee.
We do not pass on any personal details to any other organisation for marketing purposes.
