There have been live classical orchestral concerts in Kendal for 50 years. To keep the series going we really do need your support. There are various ways that you can help.
Donate some of your time
Most of the work of the Society is undertaken by volunteers, who enjoy each other’s company and being involved in making a difference to the cultural life of Lakeland. We’re always grateful for a bit more help, however much or however little you have to offer. We are particularly looking for: help on concert nights in the foyer and handing out programmes: poster distribution around the western Pennine villages, Lake District villages and Keswick: financial oversight and WordPress website development.
Join the Friends of the Society Scheme
We are hoping to welcome our 100th Friend for the 2019/20 season. The Friends provide finanical support, add greatly to the social side and momentum of the Society, and can meet the players and international stars. Find out more about the Friends Scheme.
Become a Patron
If you would like to donate at least £500 you can become a Patron of the Society. Patrons’ financial contributions are critical to our financial stability, and really help to maintain our momentum and commitment. Patrons enjoy an active social programme, participate in post-concert receptions at which they can usually meet the soloists and conductors, as well as other Patrons and the Trustees. Patrons also receive free seats for guests and can host a reception at their concert of choice.
The Society welcomes corporate sponsors, and provides opportunities to advertise in the concert programme, in the foyer, in our brochure and on our website. Corporate Sponsors also receive free seats for guests and can host a reception at their concert of choice.
Donations and Bequests
When the day comes, if you would like to remember us in your will you can rest assured that your bequest will help sustain the concert series and ensure that internationally famous musicians perform in Kendal for the next generation. Any other donations would be very welcome too…..
