We have been informed by Kendal Leisure Centre that there will be a swimming gala held at the Leisure Centre on November 9th 2019; the gala is due to end at 7pm and will be winding down as concert-goers arrive from around 6pm. There is expected to be congestion in the car park at the Leisure Centre between about 6pm and 7pm.
We recommend the following:-
– share vehicles and use public transport wherever possible
– drop off people at the entrance and then go and park your vehicle
– the Leisure Centre will allegedly keep the rear car park for concert-goers use
– overflow parking is available at Kirkbie Kendal school (off the roundabout) or Murley Moss business park (towards Oxenholme Station) or public roads. (There is NO overflow parking at K-Village due to its ongoing refurbishment).
– allow extra time.
Kendal Leisure Centre is owned by South Lakeland District Council and operated on their behalf by GLL Ltd. It is a public building which is shared and enjoyed by the whole of the community. Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society is just one of many users of the facilities and is not responsible for how it is managed or operated, nor or is it responsible for other users of the leisure centre.
