Why should I subscribe?
Each season the Society puts on eight concerts: six in a subscription series, and two separate concerts that are usually given by the Hallé and BBC Philharmonic. Tickets for the six subscription concerts can be bought together at a discount over the price of six individual concert tickets.
Those who purchase a subscription can also book tickets for the Hallé and BBC Philharmonic concerts before they go on general sale.
How can I subscribe?
In early summer the Society sends a brochure to its postal mailing list (currently about 1770 households), and an email to its emailing list, containing a booking form which must be returned by a specified date. After this date the subscription and Hallé/BBC Phil tickets are allocated; each subscriber usually has the same seat for all the concerts booked. Shortly after that date the remaining unallocated tickets go on general sale on the website and by phone.
If you would like to be added to our mailing lists, please contact us by email with your contact details and we will send you the relevant information in the summer.
Please note: we do not pass on any personal details to any other organisation without your permission.
