Another new season (our 37th ) and another wonderful set of concerts
for you and your friends to enjoy. We invite you to browse through the website -
there's a great deal to tempt you.
We welcome back the
Northern Sinfonia, Manchester Camerata, the BBC Philharmonic (with a broadcast
world premiere), the Hallé and of course "our own" Lakeland Sinfonia.
It's a special year
for the Christmas Charity Concert: the 30th anniversary. We also welcome back
the team from The Sage Gateshead with a Family Concert "Warming Songs for Winter
Days" aimed at 7-11 year olds.
Our list of artists – conductors and soloists – is, again, very impressive. With
the exception of Giovanni Guzzo, who will direct the Manchester Camerata, all
our conductors are "old" friends, whereas most of the soloists who are not
principals of the Northern Sinfonia are new to Kendal.
More and more
members of our audiences are discovering the pre-concert talks. The artists tell
us of the background to their careers, the orchestras or the composers and their
music. Each talk is different and fascinating and we have excellent
amplification so you will not miss a word.
We look forward to
welcoming you to our concerts from October to April.
