Haydn once remarked to Leopold Mozart “Before God … I tell you that your son is the greatest composer known to me”. We open the new season with a programme celebrating the music of  Haydn and Mozart, including a tongue in cheek tribute to both, by the Russian composer, Schnittke, in his “musical game”  Moz-Art á la Haydn.  We welcome Gordan Nikolitch for his first visit to Kendal. He is a baroque and contemporary specialist with an international reputation.
