Another of
Mozart's great overtures, Bruch's most famous concerto and two pieces by
Dvorak serve up an evening of familiar melody upon melody. Dvorak's
symphony inspired by the music of his great friend Brahms and a relaxing
little piece for strings make up a programme that promises us a
memorable evening. Internationally known Nicola Benedetti needs no
introduction and we are delighted she will be joining the Halle in
Kendal.

File This season, our 37th, in the
series of six subscription series concerts plus the BBC Philharmonic and
Halle we welcome five orchestras, nine conductors/directors and a host
of soloists. We will hear twenty nine different works, including six
symphonies. The composers span six centuries right up to a World
