Our season
ends with pieces by three masters of 18th century music. We
start with Haydn’s 48th Symphony, performed during a royal
visit by Empress Maria Theresa to Esterhazy The third of Bach’s set of
concertos sent to the Margrave of Brandenburg, son of the King of
Prussia, is always a pleasure to hear. Finally we will enjoy a selection
of movements from the French composer Rameau's opera-ballet
Rameau’s ‘Dardanus’ – in Greek myth, the son of Electra and Zeus!
A truly V.I.P. end to our season!
