The power and the drama of Beethoven's Coriolan overture will be smoothed away by two of the best known short works by Delius. Two cheerful pieces by Sibelius complement those of Delius while the brilliant Trumpet concerto of Haydn provides the centre-piece of a programme that ends with some youthful Schubert. Angela Whelan has played with major orchestras as well as with her native Scotland's premier chamber ensemble.
