Click here for more detailsSymphonies by two musical giants – Sibelius and Tchaikovsky – make this an evening not to be missed. The Third Symphony of Sibelius, in which he moves away from the ‘overblown language’ of the previous two and Tchaikovsky’s ‘Fateful’ Fourth are complimented by the dazzling virtuosity of the flute concerto by  the Danish composer, Carl Nielsen.   We are delighted that Juliette Bausor, principal flute of the Northern Sinfonia, will be our soloist. We remember with pleasure her performances last season.
