In
marked contrast to ‘Totentanz’, Liszt’s gentle and evocative ‘Angelus’
continues the celebrations of this hugely talented pianist and composer.
The English composer ‘Peter is remembered by his popular ‘Capriol
Suite’. Mozart’s superb early Concerto and Haydn’s exciting “Fire
Symphony” – possibly named after the spirited first movement, but more
likely after a popular play of the time!
We are pleased to welcome Zoltán and Nikolai for their first visits to
Kendal. Our conductor has been Director of the Budapest and Solti
Chamber Orchestras. Nikolai’s concert and recording repertoire is
extensive, in all parts of the world. It is good to have the members of
EUCO back with us.
